Dr. O.C. O'Kell was a graduate of Thayer college. After completing his literary course, he entered the Northwestern medical collage from which he graduated in 1893 with honors. He also took a post graduate course at the college of Physicians and Surgeons, Chicago. He was president of the United States pension examining board for this district, a member of the local board of health, and of the county and state medical societies. He was a special examiner for the New York Life, Mutual Life, Bankers Life and fraternal insurance societies. He was a consultant as to the use of the mineral waters. His specialties were chronic diseases, genito urinary diseases, diseases of women and children. He maintained an office on Broadway.
